Join us for an information session to learn about both presented by current OSUSPP interns and PROs. More information about both programs can be found below: Apply Now for The Ohio State Suicide Prevention Program 2023-2024 Undergraduate Internship Program! OSUSPP offers both fall and spring semester internships to students at the Columbus Campus. In this position you will develop skills in professionalism, mental health advocacy, and administration while learning the true meaning of prevention. Responsibilities of student interns include helping to manage REACH administration; attending weekly staff meetings; working collaboratively with staff on a variety of projects and initiatives; supporting social media, technology, and marketing efforts; helping to organize and staff outreach events; engaging in research, and more. Successful applicants will have an interest in mental health stigma reduction and a willingness to learn about evidence-based best practices for a comprehensive campus suicide prevention program. Applicants must also be able to commit to 8 in-person office hours a week. Students selected for this professional cohort of OSUSPP will have the opportunity to become campus leaders in suicide prevention and mental health promotion and are trained to become REACH trainers for their fellow peers and student organizations. With a focus on learning outreach, education, and advocacy, PROs receive excellent training and education in comprehensive suicide prevention, as well as mentorship for professional and leadership development. PROs meet and train weekly during the fall semester and begin facilitating REACH trainings in the spring semester.  Learn more and apply here.
