Campus Centers and Services
Our Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) team has created a referral page to better connect students to Alcohol and Other Drug support resources. The initial purpose of this referral tree is so that anyone meeting with a student can pull up this page and directly schedule a student for a 1:1 meeting with a dedicated AOD team member for a mini consultation to learn more about their goals or interests in the AOD space. Both virtual and in-person meetings are available. Students can expect initial meetings to be an opportunity for us to introduce them to the various resources we have that may be helpful based on their goals. This could be anything from basic AOD education, harm reduction, moderation management, recovery meetings, or supportive peer groups in regards to alcohol and other drugs, as well as connections to other wellness resources as needed. All services are free, educational and supportive resources for students to get connected and make positive changes in their life.
We guide Arts and Sciences undergraduate students through the strategic process of exploring the unique value of their Arts and Sciences education, discovering their marketable skills, obtaining internships and other opportunities for workplace learning, and connecting with prospective employers.
The Career Center of Excellence is an university-wide initiative designed to support students throughout their professional development, with a focus on connecting them with local, national and global organizations.
We provide comprehensive individual and group mental health services, psychoeducational prevention and outreach programming to currently enrolled undergraduate, graduate and professional students. We also work with spouses/partners of students who are covered by the Comprehensive Student Health Insurance.
The Dennis Learning Center supports students so that they can enter, excel in, and successfully complete academic programs at The Ohio State University. We apply our expertise in education, psychology, instruction, and technology to provide outreach that includes elective courses, workshops, and individual academic coaching. We help students flourish by providing assistance in areas that include motivation, academic stress, procrastination, study skills, time management, test taking, learning from text, note taking, and self-regulation. We also are devoted to the advancement of research that promotes greater knowledge and understanding of college students’ academic success.
The online Health and Wellness Resource Guide is a search tool designed to help navigate the vast number of support services available to our student community. It can often be challenging to know where to turn for support but by utilizing the search engine students can quickly narrow down resources to best fit their need and staff and faculty can quickly identify support resources for a student in need. You can browse the many health and wellness related resources listed alphabetically or you can use the search features by selecting a specific criteria within the 10 Dimensions of Wellness; audience type; campus location; or by specific categories such as Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion or Emergency Response. This tool is for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students and lists the many resources available on all campuses.

Willie J. Young, Sr. Off-Campus and Commuter Student Engagement is The Ohio State University’s resource center for off-campus living and commuting. We can provide you with the means to find housing and roommates, resources to encourage safe practices in the off-campus area, and support you while being a responsible neighbor in the Buckeye community.
The Office of International Affairs helps facilitate the development and growth of the Global Gateways and oversees Education Abroad, International Students and Scholars, the Mershon Center for International Security Studies, and five Area Studies Centers. We sponsor and administer grants and scholarships for faculty, graduate and undergraduate student research, education abroad and independent study. We develop agreements with international academic institutions, host international delegations, and initiate and coordinate international education outreach activities and special events. Additionally, we support the International Affairs Scholars Program, which provides opportunities for students from all majors who are interested in global themes.
The SMART Lab is the result of a partnership between the Student Wellness Office of OSU Student Life and the Counselor Education Program within the College of Education and Human Ecology. The mission of the SMART Lab is to teach and research the efficacy of stress management and resiliency skills with students at Ohio State. Services are free for enrolled OSU students.
The Student Advocacy Center is committed to helping students navigate Ohio State’s structure and to resolving issues that they encounter at the university. Our purpose is to empower students to overcome obstacles to their growth both inside and outside the classroom. The Wilce Student Health Center, Student Life Student Health Services (SLSHS), at The Ohio State University is a Joint Commission accredited outpatient facility providing a variety of health care services to the student population. All students enrolled at the Ohio State University are eligible to use SLSHS, regardless of health insurance coverage.
Student Life Disability Services collaborates with and empowers students who have disabilities in order to coordinate support services and programs that enable equal access to an education and university life.
The Student Life Student Wellness Center was developed out of the convergence of a variety of programs. The Ohio State University has been committed to addressing various health and wellness concerns, such as AIDS education and outreach efforts that began in 1982. Our mission is to empower students to strive for balance and wellness. “Wellness” is an active, ongoing process which involves becoming aware of and taking steps toward a healthier, happier, more successful life.
The Office of the University Bursar, bills and collects tuition, fees, campus housing, and other university-related charges. The office also invoices third-party agencies, audits OSU student accounts, processes student refunds, and oversees University and Perkins/Health Professions promissory notes and exit interviews. The office is responsible for university accounts receivable collection activities for both University departments and Perkins/Health Professions loans.
Living on campus offers many advantages and has been proven to enhance students’ success at Ohio State University. We do our best to find the one right for you. Campus housing is home to first-year and upperclassmen. All unmarried, full-time students within two years of high school graduation must live on campus, unless exempted, space is no longer available, or they are living with family. Advantages of on-campus housing include: convenient location to classes, resident advisors are assigned to every floor to help with the transition to college and having roommates, full-time professional staff live in each housing complex, the ability to develop lasting friendships and make lifelong memories, and opportunity for involvement in student life.
