Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. Dr. Steven Bengal

Dr. Steven Bengal has a background in social psychology and is a full-time instructor for a range of diverse and wacky topics for all students. He teaches general education courses, freshman seminars and upper-level courses and is particularly focused on energetic, quality instruction in large, lecture-based settings. Some of Dr. Bengal’s signature courses include: A Study of Sin: On Moral Psychology; The Psychology of Creativity; A Practical Guide to Ruling the World; Organizational Psychology; The Psychology of Personal Security; and Psychology and the Law.

2023: Ohio State Provost Award for Distinguished Teaching by a Lecturer

2020: Inaugural recipient of the Ohio State Department of Psychology Distinguished Teaching Award (non-tenure) 

2019: Departmental teaching commendation in social psychology

2015: Selected as an inaugural member for the university center for the advancement of teaching (UCAT) teaching circle
