Honors

In the Arts and Sciences Honors Program, psychology majors take challenging courses in small classroom settings. They work closely with the Psychology Honors Advisor to craft a curriculum of challenging psychology courses, as well as other relevant experiences, such as research, internships, and extracurricular involvement relevant to their academic and career goals. Participants in the program graduate "with Honors in Arts and Sciences." 

To get started, students must first join the Arts and Sciences Honors Program. After applying to the Arts and Sciences Honors Program, students should schedule a meeting with the Psychology Honors Advisor, Dr. Alisa PaulsenStudents should get involved in the Honors Program as early as possible in their undergraduate career.

Research Opportunities

Under the supervision of a faculty member, psychology Honors students can enroll in PSYCH 4998: Undergraduate Research in Psychology. They can design and implement their own research project by completing an Honors Thesis, as well as gain experience presenting their work at our Psychology Undergraduate Research Colloquium, among other venues. Students should consult their Psychology Honors Advisor for more information.
