Borja Paredes is a postdoc at the Ohio State University with an additional affiliaton at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). His research examines attitudes and persuasion, especially attitude strength, self-validation theory, and identity fusion, and he works within the meta-cognitive tradition developed with Richard Petty and Pablo Briñol. His current work looks at how message extremity, certainty, and identity shape attitude change and depolarization.
