Chad is a postdoctoral scholar studying how memories are stored, organized, and modified within the brain and how these processes go awry with aging. He was selected as a President's Postdoctoral Scholar for his postdoctoral work with Dr. Sehgal investigating memory organization in the retrosplenial cortex. Chad completed his PhD in Neuroscience working with Dr. Janine Kwapis at Penn State University where he received an NIH NRSA F31 Fellowship to study the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying age-related deficits in memory updating. Prior to this, Chad completed his undergraduate degrees in Biology and Neuroscience at the University of Cincinnati, where he worked with Dr. Nicole Weaver at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center. He is originally from Beavercreek, Ohio.
