You've made a choice, someone asks you about it, you give a reason, end of story...right? Wrong! It turns out that humans are pretty bad at explaining why we do what we do and that we'll just make it up when we are asked. When you combine this quality with social pressures, rampant misinformation, and lack of intellectual humility, it can cause a lot of problems. In this Stop! & Think, we will play some brain games designed to help demonstrate some of the quirks of our decision-making and then watch a video or two of some experts in this area help us understand ourselves and how to combat these problems.
