Speaker Bio: Dr. India R. Johnson is an associate professor in the department of psychology at Butler University, and is also the founder and principal consultant at Evolve Diversity Consulting Services. Dr. Johnson is trained as an experimental social psychologist – she earned her Master's and Ph.D. in social psychology from The Ohio State University, and her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University – Purdue University, Indianapolis. Broadly speaking, Dr. Johnson’s research focuses on stereotyping and prejudice, social identity, and intergroup relations. Dr. Johnson has over a decade of experience researching and teaching on topics relevant to diversity, equity, and inclusion and has been awarded a number of external grants for her efforts, including a recent award from the National Science Foundation. Her scholarly work has been published in high-impact outlets such as Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Psychology of Women Quarterly, and Psychological Science. In addition to being a consultant and professor, Dr. Johnson is also a mother of four daughters and a wife to an amazing partner, Ricky.
