Title: Musings on Reliability and Validity
Abstract: Reliability and validity are foundational concepts in psychological measurement and research, and yet these concepts are not without issues and their relations and distinctions often remain unclear. In this discussion, we examine conceptual issues and a proposal for how the two notions relate to each other. The discussion has practical relevance and may have implications for advancing psychological science.
