Title: A Conversation with Dr. Christian Geiser on his Journey as a Quantitative Psychologist 

Abstract: This moderated Q&A session features Dr. Christian Geiser, former Professor of Quantitative Psychology and current Director of Education for Quantfish, an independent statistics training platform for researchers and graduate students. After a successful academic career, Dr. Geiser transitioned into statistics consulting and instruction, where he now develops new courses and manages the Quantfish business alongside his wife, Ginger. Dr. Geiser will share insights from his journey through undergraduate and doctoral training to academia and independent instruction. This session is designed as a Q&A for graduate students to learn about the diverse career paths available to Quantitative Psychology students through firsthand experience. Participants are encouraged to ask questions about careers in consulting, instruction, and industry. 


Joint Quantitative Psychology Brownbags are organized by psychology programs at universities around the nation, including: The Ohio State University, University of Notre Dame, University of Maryland, College Park, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Virginia, Vanderbilt University and University of South Carolina. Participating programs also include those from York University, McGill University, University of Missouri and University of British Columbia.
