
Dr. Stefanie Day is a licensed professional clinical counselor and holds clinical supervision certification with the State of Ohio. Dr. Day received her Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology with her dissertation focus on relationship and sexual violence. She was awarded the national ADARA McCay Vernon Outstanding JADARA Article Award in 2020 for a journal article published covering aspects of her dissertation research. Dr. Day received her Master of Arts in mental health counseling. She also completed a Master of Science in Administration with a non-profit school focus. She first with a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Women and Minority studies with a focus on Deaf Culture/American Sign Language.
Dr. Day teaches college-level psychology classes for The Ohio State University (OSU), Antioch College, and Columbus State Community College. Dr. Day was awarded the 2023 Distinguished Teaching Award from Columbus State. She has served as a thesis mentor for Ohio University and OSU students. She serves as a mentor to undergraduate- and graduate-level teaching assistants, offering a unique opportunity for students to assist in the classroom and office hours. Dr. Day serves as a club advisor to the student organization Buck-I-Watch.
She is a Buckeye Wellness Innovator for OSU and a certified SKY Wellness Coach. Dr. Day has presented to audiences large and small about a variety of topics including wellness and self-care to ethical considerations in cross cultural service delivery. Dr. Day volunteers with several local mental health and victim services organizations. She also serves in her local government as a council member. She lives with her family local to Columbus where her dogs demand all the attention.
