Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. Is that news really "fake" or is it biased?

In a recently published article, Jeff Grabmeier examines the "fake news" era we live in and how individuals determine the credibility of a news source. According to this new study, bias, not just trustworthiness and credbility, plays a role in how people choose what to believe when reading an article distributed by a source.

Psychology staff including Laura Wallace, Duane Wegner and Richard Petty researched and authored the study, which is available to read in-depth in the journal Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin.
