Introduction to Event-Related-Potentials

PSYCH 5621: Introduction to Event-Related-Potentials

This course will give students familiarity with collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting data with EEG measurements. We will focus on the most frequently used techniques for analyzing EEG data, such as wavelets, filtering, clustering, and event related potentials. We will also cover issues of statistical tests of data, such that analyses may be reported effectively in research findings. At the end of the course, students will have a broad overview of how to design an experiment, collect data, process and analyze data, and report said data and analyses (both visually and statistically).
Prereq: A grade of C- or above in 2220 and 2300, and permission of instructor; or Grad standing.
