APA grants 3-year initiative to strengthen Intro Psych courses
The American Psychological Association recently launched a three-year initiative to take a focused look at the way Introductory Psychology courses are taught and will make recommendations to strengthen the course nationally. Ohio State's director of Introductory Psychology, Dr. Melissa Beers, is one of the 10 faculty members from institutions across the country steering this initiative. Dr. Beers is co-chair of the Teacher Training and Development group, which aims to learn more about existing training and development opportunities for Introductory Psychology instructors and will work to enhance resources and support for teaching.
